It happened at the worst possible time.  A fancy dinner party in a red tenement flat in Hyndland and the toilet blocked up.

It didn’t just block up, it overflowed.

This was the customers first dinner party since they had had their first child late last year.  Nobody had told the new mother that you should never flush wet wipes down the toilet so for months that is exactly what she had been doing every time that she had cleaned her child’s nappies.

And for all those months, she had been lucky that they had all managed to slip through the drainage pipes without any issues.  But not tonight.  Tonight, with 7 friends round, her luck finally ran out.

And we did it all before dessert was served.  While we were invited to stay for dessert, we politely turned down the offer and headed off to our new drainage job.
