For those that don’t know Dowanhill, it sits just up from Hillhead and Byres Road in the heart of the West End. Filled with some stunning sandstone townhouses, it really is one of the most beautiful architectural areas of Glasgow. But with these beautiful old buildings comes old plumbing and drainage systems. So it came as little surprise when we received a call from a customer who had found us simply by searching google for ‘blocked drain expert in Glasgow’. As you may have guessed, they were calling because their drain had blocked. What made it worse was that it was the main drainage pipe leaving the house. That means that many sinks, bathtubs and shower drain holes all connected to it.
We used out jet blaster to force along the blockage and get the system running smoothly again.
We carried out some tests to ensure that the water was flowing correctly again and when the customer was happy, we called it a day and set off for the next job.
