The customer reported a smell in the garden. A CCTV inspection quickly showed the drain was blocked.
We cleared the blockage using a high pressure Jetter and checked the drain again. The drain inspection showed the drain had cleared but was blocked by a mass of roots. We located the roots using a radio sonde on the camera head and traced an access trap underneath the path
Once we had opened the trap by digging down to the lid, we were able to pull many of the roots out with a mechanical jaw.
Further checks with the CCTV camera showed more roots in the drain which we were able to cut out with a Warthog root cutting water jet nozzle.
