With all the rain that has been falling in Glasgow this January, we got a call from a new customer who was having issues with their drainage.
As usual, we agreed a time with the client and turned up when we said we would. After an initial inspection of the area, we removed the manhole cover and there, right in front of us was an alien of roots in a tangled mess.
Tree roots are a constant problem for drain blockages. In Glasgow, there is a lot of trees both old and new and you would not believe how deep and expansive these tree roots can be. If they manage to get into a drain, they can quickly expand and grow causing the drain to block and potentially crumble and crack.
