We got a call from a customer in Mount Florida in the South Side of Glasgow because there was a problem with their drainage system and waste sewage water had begun to flood up from the pipe in the garden drain and was flooding the garden patio. The reason for the blocked drain was simple. Rubble. Where it had come from however was a different matter.
It turned out that some sandstone filler that a roofer had applied over winter because of a leaking roof had not bonded to the wall properly and the warm dry air had dried it enough to fall and go down the gutter. The blocks of mortar then got stuck in the drainage system and caused a blockage.
After we received the call, we arrived at the agreed upon time, checked the issue, quoted an accurate price which the client happily accepted and then got to work unlocking the drain.
