There are times when we have to crawl under floor boards and their are times when we have to cut through walls to gain access but this week we go to get the shovel out and dig a hole. One of our customers had a blocked drain in their home in Jordanhill. So as one of the top drainage firms in Glasgow, we were called out to fix the problem.
After conducting a few drain tests, we isolated the drainage pipe that was blocked and from there, we just had to deal with the issue of accessing it. On so many older homes across Glasgow, the main drain pipe for all of the waste water in the home goes through a pipe that is buried quite deep under ground. On newer build properties, there are easy access ports for just these situations but on older houses, it requires a slightly different approach.
So our Drain expert Jim got to spend some time in the Glasgow Spring sunshine digging down to access the pipe.
The good news was that Jim got to the pipe, managed to access it and clear the blockage. The bad news – this is Glasgow so the chances are that next time we have to dig a hole to gain access to a drain pipe, it will be in heavy rain and high winds.
But that is just part of the life of a drainage expert. Come rain or shine and no matter where the block drain is – we will find it and we will fix it.
