We were called out to Cambuslang last week because surprise surprise, there was a blocked drain issue.
The home owner had tried to unblock it themselves but no matter what they did, they could not shift the issue.
So a time was agreed upon for the JSL Drainage team to come out and inspect the blocked drain issue. We did a few tests and then sent down our CCTV camera to get a better look at what was causing the issue. It turned out to be rubble. The pipe that was blocked was incredibly old so we are going on the basis that this has been there for a very long time and only recently, there had been enough other ‘obstacles’ join it to create a serious blockage.
Once we had confirmed that this was the cause, we set about removing the rubble that had collected, performed a series of tests to ensure that this was indeed the cause and that it had in fact been removed/cleared successfully and once this was done, we went on our way to the next drainage call out of the day.
The drain systems of so many properties across Glasgow are old.
