Across Glasgow there has been a few days of sub zero temperatures and whilst for many, this would simply be an inconvenience because you have to get the car ice scrapper out. For others – this can be when old and worn pipes and drains get hit hard by the ice. A simple hairline crack that has not been an issue can be opened up wide thanks to the expanding ice that has worked its way in the gap. And with every day that we freeze, unfreeze and then re-freeze it only makes the issue worse.
So keep your eyes peeled for anything that seems slightly strange around the home. Lots of condensation inside your windows can be a sign that a leaking pipe is causing an increase in moisture in the room.
