We were called to a tenement flat in Dennistoun to fix a drainage problem. The customer had just moved into a ground floor flat in one of the iconic red sandstone flats that cover Dennistoun and when they went to run their first bath – they found that the bathwater would not drain away.
They found JSL Drainage on google and while they had never used us before, they were impressed at the number of good reviews that we had received for blocked drain services in Glasgow.
They called our call center and spoke to one of our friendly team who booked them in for a time slot that worked with their work schedule.
When we turned up at the Dennistoun flat, we inspected the problem before confirming a cost to fix it.
The problem had been a HUGE collection of hair strands that had been caught further down the drain pipe. It was too far down for a plunger to have enough impact.
Because it was the ground floor flat, we were able to gain access easily to under the floor. We used our tracing equipment to locate the blockage before opening up the pipe and the closest connection point and removing the blockage (whilst making sure that the bath tub above us still had its plug in).
Once this was done, we checked that the water drained away quickly and easily before providing a drain cleaning service to ensure that the problem didn’t come back anytime soon.
